Pathetic, the translation

I got this poem from a blog which I read during break times at work. I find it amazing and just out of the blue, I thought of forwarding the poem to the rest of my previous team. I told them to read it coz' it's nice. I got several feedbacks right away. Ria said she did not understand it (I don't know what's wrong with her..gehehehe) and Debbie said it was nice but the tagalog words are too deep and she's nose-bleeding. Some wondered if that day was part of the "Linggo ng Wika" celebration. And most amazingly, Riley said 'cge bye!'.

After few exchange of emails, Ria sent a message telling me to translate the poem to English. For unknown reasons, my mind started to define each word and tried translating them. I was also on the phone with my customer trying to fix her computer and we are also discussing stuff about 'veganism' (yep, she is a vegan and obviously she doesn't eat animal meat or anything made of meat) while I was translating the poem.

With all those distractions and weird feedback from my perks, here is the outcome of my unknown desire to translate the poem which I find so worth keeping and worth reading in Tagalog (sigh).

Please draw a deep breath...

Pathetic

SUBMIT TO UNCERTAINTY,
ENGRAVE TO THE PROMISE OF LOVE,
AND NAIL IT TO WIDENESS OF THE OCEAN SHORE.
TO THY ABSTRACT THOUGHTS,
TO A NEW DAY SURELY NOT TO COME,
FOR I'LL FOREVER WAIT, IN THE PLACE WHERE OUR LOVE ABOUNDS...

PATETIK

ibigay sa kawalan
ikubli sa pangako
at ipako sa lawak ng dalampasigan
sa mga abstraktong salita
sa bukas na hindi naman darating
at sa tagpuang patuloy ka pa rin hihintayin

I love this poem.
